Despite Megan Van Tatenhove’s career-high 35 points, host St. Bonaventure Bonnies falls to the Dayton Flyers, 87-80, in overtime Wednesday night at the Reilly Center.

Dayton’s (15-7, 6-2, A10) Justin Raterman led the Flyers with 27 points and 10 rebounds on 11-of-14 shooting. Patrice Lalor led with seven assists and two steals.

Van Tatenhove also led the Bonnies (15-8, 5-3) with eight rebounds and four assists, while Jessica Jenkins added five threes and 19 points.

St. Bonaventure’s next game is at Richmond, while Xavier visits Dayton. Both games are on Saturday and start at 2 p.m.


Dayton outscored St. Bonaventure’s bench 37 to 2 … Jim Jabir, Dayton’s head coach, won his 350th career victory and got his first victory at the Reilly Center … Jenkins has made exactly five three pointers seven times this season … the lead changed 15 times and tied on eight occasions.
