ST. BONAVENTURE (Sept. 19) — The St. Bonaventure Bonnies did not defend its title at the 2011 Leo Keenan Invitational today after a two-day total of 39-over-par 589 en route to a third-place finish.

Robert Morris’ 11-over-par 571 broke the tournament record by four strokes, previously held by St. Bonaventure and Drexel in 2005.

Humber (Canada) finished second with a 586, edging out St. Bonaventure’s 589.

Brian McKenna led the Bonnies with a six-over-par 146 (10th place overall). Kevin Lewis, (147), Chris Mackey (147), Greg Horvath (149) and Scott Brady (159) rounded out the other Bonnies scores.

Jess Ferrell of Fairmont State took medalist honors with a two-under-par 138 (66, 72) at Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y.
