The financial struggles of St. Bonaventure University are, for the most part, a thing of the past.
During the early 1990s, the university had serious financial problems. Because of this, the administration had to reduce staff and funding while also slightly raising tuition.
Bob Wickenheiser was hired during this time, and he, relatively quickly, solved the financial problems. Under his watch the university balanced its books and also built or renovated new academic buildings and fields.
It’s easy to say that Bonaventure was better off, at least fiscally, after the tenure of Wickenheiser.
It was on this day that Bonaventure’s financial credit rating was upgraded.
