The 2014 Grammy’s celebrated some of music’s greatest legends of all time and the industry’s newest artists of the past year. But, of course, I celebrated this award show’s best dressed celebrities and had a lot of secondhand embarrassment in witnessing some of the worst… And trust me, when these stars fell, they fell hard.
First up, Beyoncé: Beyoncé flaunted her famous curves in a cream, lace embroidered gown designed by Michael Costello and Christian Louboutin heels. The stunning entertainer even stopped in the press room with her husband, Jay-Z, to show off this gorgeous gown.
Katy Perry took the night’s theme a bit too literally with this music note-printed dress. This Couture Valentino premiered at the Paris Fashion Week just three days before the event. Kudos to her for having some absolutely killer fashion connections… But she couldn’t have done a little better and went sans cheesy chiffon and music note print?
Iggy Azelea is, no doubt, the classiest female rapper in the game. She looks stunning in this Elie Saab white, embroidered gown that hugs her curves in all the right places.
Orange is definitely not the new black with this sherbet-inspired dress. Natasha Bedingfield was a bit off-based with this cape overlay and the chunky bracelets. Sometimes, less is more.
Kaya Jones… one word: No! One thigh high slit is sexy; Two thigh high slits? Overexposed and the possibility of a slip that no one wants to see.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were very Thrift Shop-esque in these modern Topman suits. Ryan Lewis wore houndstooth print while Macklemore was clad in teal velvet.
