St. Bonaventure University students went back in time on the fourth day of Spirit Week with Throwback Thursday. From the time of hippies to 1990s pop, some students chose to adorn ensembles from different eras.
“Family, because I feel like it is a second home and second family for me,” said freshman and international studies major Flavia Pietrobattista. “The education system at Bonaventure is great. Everyone seemed so friendly to me, especially coming from another country. I am enjoying doing new things everyday in the community here.”
“Formation, because in these four years we have a chance to develop into the people that we are going to be for much of our lives,” said senior and history major Mike Specht. “Bonaventure shapes us both as people and professionals.”
“Friendly, because when you walk around Bonaventure, almost everyone always smiles and says something,” said junior and journalism and mass communications major Riley Eike.”Even if you might not know them, they greet you.”
“Welcoming, because that is really why I came here,” said junior and business information systems major Paul Lavelle. “The people were cool and the atmosphere is really great overall.”
With only one day left in Spirit Week, students can show their school spirit by wearing brown and white on Friday to show support for the men’s and women’s basketball teams before their games.
