The St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team will look to secure its third straight victory tonight when it travels to Long Island to face Stony Brook. This will be the third meeting between the two schools and the first since 2004.

The brown and white will look to keep its current offensive production rolling. The Bonnies averaged 50.9 percent field goal shooting in their last two home-court wins over Toledo and Detroit.

Stony Brook enters tonight’s game with a 3-2 overall record, with wins over Iona (58-53), Columbia (79-71) and St. Peter’s (69-35). The Seawolves fell 71-66 at Hofstra and were defeated 72-57 at Ole Miss. They held Ole Miss to just 36 percent shooting, but committed 31 turnovers in the loss. Stony Brook senior Brittany Snow leads her squad in scoring with 17 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Four Seawolves are averaging over nine points a game (Snow, Christa Scognamiglio, Ogechi Anyagaligbo and Kori Bayne-Walker).

Stony Brook is holding its opponents to just 22.9 percent shooting from long range, ranking first in the America East through five games.

Seniors Katie Healy and Nyla Rueter will play their 100th career games tonight, coming off a solid week where they averaged 19 and 18.5 points respectively. The Bonnies are sharing the ball well, with 35 assists in the past two games. They have also reduced their turnovers from 20 to 16.4 per game over their last two contests.
