Women’s basketball: Drummond looks to build off freshman campaign

For Miranda Drummond, a former McDonald’s All-American nominee and the MVP and Player of the Year in 2013 for Section IV in New York, individual accolades haven’t been hard to come by. This year, the focus for the St. Bonaventure sophomore is on the win column.

Drummond, a native of Binghamton, N.Y., appeared in 28 games as a freshman in 2014-2015, averaging just above three points a game and shooting over 42 percent from the field. The 6-foot-1 forward scored a season-high 17 points against the Richmond Spiders on Jan. 7 and saw increased playing time down the stretch in Atlantic 10 play.
