Women’s basketball: Bona looks for second win over UMass this season

The St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team is set to take on UMass on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mullin Center. This will be the second matchup between the two teams, the first coming on January 10 when the Bonnies secured the victory over the Minutewomen, 66-41.

The Bonnies are coming off of an 80-59 win over Saint Louis on Wednesday night. Sophomore Miranda Drummond registered 19 points for the Bonnies, while senior Katie Healy posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

UMass (6-17) has dropped all 11 of its Atlantic 10 games thus far.  Rochester native Cierra Dillard leads the way for her squad with 13.6 points per game. Freshman Bria Stallworth chips in 12.8 points per contest. Although the Minutewomen are ranked 12th in the A-10 in rebounding, senior Rashida Tambilla averages a league-best 9.3 boards per game.
